Perennial Satureja flowers in June.
Fresh leaves can be harvested for
use in cooking anytime. When drying winter savory it is is best to
harvest leaves from young tips before the plant flowers. Place the young
tips in a paper bag, hang upside down, allow to dry, then store the
winter savoury leaves in a Tupperware container.
