Angelica is a native of Europe, Asia and North America. It dislikes humid conditions and does best with shade for some of the day during the summer.
In days gone by it was believed that it was an effective safeguard against evil!
It is a large plant (up to 2.5 m tall, and 1m spread after a year or so), so it needs careful planting. It isn't an indoor plant, but can thrive in a large container - be careful to choose one with a wide base or it may topple! be careful about over fertilizing and it may need staking when it flowers.
It is a potent herb, so check into the health warnings before consumption!
