This Wodan variety never gets ‘wooden’ and it’s equally tasty picked young! The quality of the skin is good with a wonderful vibrant internal colour. The red veins on the leaves will make them particularly attractive in your pot.
Start eating the baby beets when they’re about 2.5cm (1in). A good idea is to pick every 3rd or 4th beetroot to allow the others to fill the space. Gives a good crop.
