Gooseberry Hinomaki Yellow
One of the new varieties of dessert gooseberries these make both a pretty addition to the garden and to the table.
Plant out November - March in a sunny, fairly sheltered spot with well drained fertile soil. Leave about 90cm between each plant if you are growing them as bushes or 45cm between them for cordons (where you restrict the plant to 1 or 2 main upright stems).
Birds love these so do consider some netting.
