Bergamot - WIld Plant
Originally from the United States, Wild Bergamot was used by native indians to treat colds.
In more recent times, it has been an alternative to Indian tea in some countries.
You can put a fresh leaf into China tea to create the Earl Grey flavour, add the flower petals to salad.
Growing to about 80-100cm tall with a purple flower it is too tall for a window box but stunning in pots or in borders.
