Chervil is a traditional hardy annual growing to 30-60cm high spreading to about 30cm.
It flowers spring to summer with little clusters of tiny flowers.
It grows well in containers, but needs to be cut and come again if you are growing indoors. It needs semi shade and a large pot.
It can be infused for tea to drink or use as a face treatment to help wrinkles and cleanse.
Eaten raw in salads or on vegetables it is a tasty source of vitamin C, carotene, iron and magnesium. Try it on broad beans!
We sell chervil early in the season as small plug plants, so make sure not to plant too closely as they will grow strongly into the summer.
