It's time to get started...

Here at Urban Allotments we help people to create their own Kitchen Garden in whatever space they have available and especially where time and patience are in short supply. The biggest question - what do I eat? Whether you'd like a fragrant windowsill

of culinary herbs, beautiful pots full of crops for the kitchen table, fruit trees on your patio or even an upside down garden in the kitchen, we've something for you. Supplied as kits with compost and plants if that's what you'd like. You might be a skilled grower after some great quality plants or a complete newbie just starting out. Eitherway, you can buy English herb and vegetable plants in small numbers and there is someone to guide you through if you need to.

Now is the time to start planning what you'll be doing with all of your produce! Even if it is your first year and you've some fresh mint and chives, maybe some salad to offer, there always some lovely things to make. What about some fresh tea - just add hot water to your leaves (think mint, fennel, sage, wild chamomile, lemon verbena) leave to seep for a couple of minutes and hey presto, home made tea. Sorrel will be growing well by now, so how about some sorrel soup?
